As one life ends, one begins....

Meritable Millie, a one and half year old filly, has come to live with me. She was a gift from my friend Barb and is a half sister (by the same sire) as her good barrel horse.

Millie's future will be in barrel racing. She is very friendly and in-your-pocket. I will be hauling her with me to races and ponying her off my mare, Angel.

It's good that there is happiness and light for another horse.

Welcome Millie! We look forward to hearing about your adventures!

Poor Heddy cried for Joy all day Friday. About 4:30, she called one last time, long and louder. Then she looked all around, listening, then went and cuddled up with Honey. She hasn't called since. It just darn near broke my heart because I couldn't explain it to her.

Animals also mourn in their own way. The blessing for them is that they live in the moment, so they're able to move on so much quicker than we are.
