Putting in the Epoxy
The picture is blurry, but you can still make out the gap that didn't quite get filled in.
This is heavy duty, super sticky tape! And so begins the wrapping process.
The finished product.
Some more body shots.
Originally, this blog was started to chronicle the journey of what can happen when a forgotten horse falls into the loving hands of people who care. Joy has left us, but in letting her go, I continue to live the lessons that she taught me, and attempt to Restore Joy to other horses that come into my life.

Whoa, that's some heavy-duty shoeing! But it sounds like it'll all work out in the end. He looks good!
That's great! That should reall help with his foot tenderness.
He is looking so much better. It's neat to hear that the farrier can tell he is getting stronger. He sure has made lots of progress in such a short amount of time!
Way to go Karen! It's so nice to see that you are giving Beau the best of everything he needs, not to mention deserves! It really looks like he is gaining some muscle tone from the look of the new pics, so nice to see!
I must say that I am officially addicted to reading your updates!
Me too; I have your updates on my iGoogle homepage so whenever you add a new blog it pops ups.
Looks as though that shoe 'construction' will do the trick and he looks great.
Big improvements so quickly - well done you : )
Karen - Thank You so much for sharing those photos! That was very interesting!
