Beau - The New Project

I said "Yes" when Lacey called me and said there was a skinny Morgan/Arab gelding, early to mid-twenties, free, needed help.

I had no idea the horse would be THIS bad! I'm gonna need help. Poor guy has no back teeth and has to eat hay pellets. I'll post more as I know more.

Front Feet

Look at this face!

Oh my gosh! That poor old guy! He has the sweetest face. I am so glad he has a better home now. He'll feel a million bucks better after his feet are trimmed. Sometimes my mind is just blown away by how people can let horses get in that condition in the first place.

Fortunately, there looks to be two good hooves under all of that over growth. Good luck with him and bless you for taking him in.

I just came here from Fugs blog, and the second I saw those hooves on her blog... I was appalled! And my jaw dropped and I gasped. I had to come here and find out more info. Glad this Morab will be receiving good care! And I second Fantasia's statements. Looking forward to seeing those hooves after Beau sees a farrier.

Holy crap! Those feet! It'll be cute to watch him do his little "tippy toe" walk when he gets them trimmed. He won't know what to do!

He is absolutely gorgeous. I love his face.

I'm excited to see what happens!

Oh bless his sweet face! Thanks for taking in this cutie pie, I bet by Christmas you'll have him in good shape!

OMG, my hubby's NEVER been around horses, and he took one look at those toes and said, "eeeuuuuwww!!" Then he saw the ribs, and sighed heavily. Seriously, what POS can't notice these things? I'm boggled!

Brandy - I think he DID notice, he just didn't care enough to fix it.
