Poor Lil Dude!

I came home tonight and turn the horses out on pasture. Beau followed and when the girls took off at a run, he tried to keep up. Unfortuneately, he tripped and slid in the grass on both front knees. He's got grass stains on both knees and his nose. He seemed to be more embarassed than hurt, but I felt bad for him, falling like that in front of all the girls.

They pretty much ignored him and went straight to eating. Poor guy!

Poor little guy! Wonder what made him fall? His poor old feet I guess...Just think of how lucky he is to be someplace where anyone even notices he went down...& in front of his girls...Lucky little dude!

Guess he knew he lost some cool points on that move! I am glad he is feeling good enough to try and show off!! Glad he is okay!

That story made me really sad for the old guy, like nearly tears sad, and yet happy that he is in such a good place now. It breaks my heart to hear stories like his and know that there are so many more out there who weren't so lucky. I look forward to your posts every day and am cheering for Beau with every milestone...

That is encouraging and heartwrenching at the same time. I can totally relate to poor old Beau. The first thing I do when I trip is look around to see if anyone saw me make a complete fool out of myself.

AHW I feel sorry for him... There is nothing I hate more than tripping and falling... or, for that matter, seeing someone trip and fall. Last winter, my mare's pasture was packed snow and slippery in spots. She always used to run to greet us and she slipped and fell on her side!!!! I freaked out, she is a healthy horse, just a fool. She slid in a fence post and left some hair on it otherwise, she was fine, I guess she should've been bruised on her hip or butt. I felt so bad the rest of the day, because I had called her in to see me... Broke my heart! Will never call her again when there is packed snow on the ground... I'll just march my butt to her and take her from there!

Oh! Poor Beau! At least he landed on grass! Glad to hear nothing but his pride was hurt.
