OMG!! THERE'S A PUPPY IN THE RIVER!!!

Today was Kizzy's first trip to the river. She has been to the ocean, and wasn't afraid of the water, but we have never taken her to the river. It was windy and at first, she seemed unsure of it. But she did get the hang of it. We did some retrieving in shallow water, then gradually took her deeper. Her first attempt at swimming was pretty much a bust. She didn't know what to do. I thought for sure Mike was going to have to rescue her. But she didn't panic and she got herself out of it. A few more times in shallow water, then back to deeper water. She got out to the toy fine, but when she grabbed it, her head went under. But she popped back up and swam back. She was pretty much verticle, but by the time her feet touched the bottom, she was leveling out. So we left it at that and will do more at a later date.
