Originally, this blog was started to chronicle the journey of what can happen when a forgotten horse falls into the loving hands of people who care. Joy has left us, but in letting her go, I continue to live the lessons that she taught me, and attempt to Restore Joy to other horses that come into my life.

I am so far behind, Karen! I sorta lost most blog reading with our move to Georgia.
Bullwinkle is turning into quite the handsome boy! And who is that gorgeous black/dark bay/chocolate colored creature with the wide blaze? I'm quite enchanted! (Then again, I have a soft spot for dark colored horses thanks to my Casey).
Your babies look quite lovely!
The black mare is Lucy - one of Cathy's rescues. She was horribly abused and is mostly blind. Sadly, she is not very friendly either. She is very hard to catch and is the one horse on the place that I have to halter to even pet. The rest I can go in their pen and they won't leave me alone. Poor Lucy! She's absolutely lovely in the summer!
